| The .22 Rimfire Fun Match is held
on the second Saturday of the month. Practice is from 10-11, with the
match starting at 11. Cost is $5 per round. Any .22 rimfire can
be used. You will shoot against those with similar guns--bolt action,
scoped, etc. Targets include metallic silhouettes, softballs, golf
balls, paint balls and more, shot at 25, 35 and 50 yards. This is a new match, and the rules are evolving. When finalized, we'll post them.

25 July, 22 August, 26 September, and 24 October, 2009 Sponsor: Piedmont Handgunners Association (PHA) Location: PHA Range, Hwy 150, Churchland, North Carolina Eligibility: Competition is open to all (Rule 1.7C) Entry Fee: PHA Members: $15.00 Non-Members: $18.00 Juniors: $10.00 (Special Note: All Juniors shoot their first match of the year for free) Entries: Entries will be accepted from 0845 until the last relay goes to the line. Start Time: First Relay will be called to the line at 0930. Gate opens not later than 0830. Firing: Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will govern the match. Competitors will score the targets of the other competitors. Match Schedule and Conditions: The course of fire will be 50 rounds fired at two hundred yards using NRA approved target to simulate the national match course. Sighters will be fired during a sighting period prior to the first stage of the match. The match will be an unsquaded, individual match, fired at stationary targets. Rifles must conform to Rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2 and 3.3 of the NRA High Power Rifle Match Rules. The course of fire may be increased to 80 rounds at the discretion of the match director based on, but not limited to, number of competitors, weather, or other considerations. Competitors should come prepared to fire 80 rounds. Stage 1: 10 rounds slow fire standing in 10 minutes (SR target) [20 rounds in 20 minutes for 800 aggregate] Stage 2: 10 rounds rapid fire in 60 seconds (SR target) [2 -10 rounds strings for 800 aggregate.] Stage 3: 10 rounds rapid fire in 70 seconds (SR-42 target) [2-10 rounds strings for 800 aggregate] Stage 4: 20 rounds slow fire prone in 20 minutes (MR-52 target) A note
on positions: The NRA has changed the rules for rapid fire. Competitors now
start in the sitting or prone position, whichever is appropriate for the
stage. The old "start standing and move to the firing position" is no more.
